Welcome to Insect Anti-Microbial Peptide Database (IAMPDB)
A Comprehensive Archive of Manually Curated Anti-Microbial Peptides (AMPs) From Insects
IAMPDB is a comprehensive knowledgebase of manually curated AMPs from Insects. The knowledgebase contain data about the insect AMPs, their sequence, source insect, taxonomy (order), existence, activity info, target organisms, mode of action (MoA), hemolytic activity, cytoloytic activity, assays info & more. At this version of the knowledgebase all the insect AMPs are curated from UniProt. The knowledgebase holds the information about 438 AMPs from 148 insects (from 10 orders), 181 target organisms & 33 activities. The knowledgebase is also cross-referenced with it's source database i.e., UniProt along with PubMed & PDB. This resource will help researchers or pharmaceutical industries to retrive information about various insect AMPs and their details for further studies like peptide-based drug development, evolutionary analysis etc.

We will keep this site online, updated and regularly maintained. The database was last updated on 2024-04-07.
